In 2011 was the first time I ever went to what one would call a “metal show” it consisted of Five Finger Death Punch, Hatebreed and a band called All That Remains. I have seen them now 8 times over the last 8-9 years. The first time I’d seen them I couldn’t believe how heavy they were. I think they were one of the first bands that transitioned me to Metalcore for sure.
I’ve gotten to see them headline 4 times and have always reverted back to their music many times over the years.
I last minute decided to see them in Madison because their one of my favorite bands to see live.
I didn’t even plan on getting VIP but I decided that I finally wanted to meet them. I haven’t fanboyed that hard meeting someone. After years of sending them messages and actually getting responses over the past 8-9 years it was pretty awesome when I told Phil (the lead singer) my name and he said my entire name out loud. Me saying anything was pretty much done from there because I couldn’t believe it.
I know that people are just people but there are always people who will inspire you. It’s awesome to always meet the people behind the music that you listen to constantly and I feel like that’s always a deeper way to get in touch with it.
I look forward to seeing them again and what is in store for them in the future 🤘🏻 #Metalcore#ATR#Music#Metal#Rock#TheFallOfIdeals#Overcome#ThisDarkenedHeart#AWarYouCannotWin#ForWeAreMany#Madness#VictimsOfANewDisease
