#coffeetalkwithmariah good morning! I woke up with a positive attitude and ready to take on today, I’ve been in this shitty cycle of killing it for a week and having all the motivation in the world, to the next week I can’t even fight to keep a burrito out of my hands lol. I am trying dude and I’m really trying to push through when I do have those days. When I start turning towards bad habits to ease my stress I’ve realized that multiple bad habits come back along with that. Trying to push past where I feel like just giving in completely. Reminding myself i gotta start somewhere. Just because I’ve “done this before” doesn’t make me a pro. But I’m trying to find a healthy balance for myself that works.

When I was younger and couldn’t sleep, I would think about a sexual fantasy or a romance to calm my mind. I’d drift off enough for my subconscious to take over the dream. In it, I would always hear my own voice whispering “I love you”. It may be strange but it’s true. I’d dream me up a man or sometimes not, just the idea of one and I would feel every inch of everything. There was no distinction between real and fake. And in the morning I would hear the voice again. I dream like this up to this day. I truly believed the voice was speaking to my mystery man. But after heartbreaks and over idealized lovers, a night came when I saw dream from a different angle. I saw my own arms touching each other. I saw myself whisper in my own ears and say “I Love You”. It was such a magical and fulfilling experience. I had been looking for people to love me right for years. To talk to me correctly. To hold me and never leave me. I truly believed family had already failed me and so my solution would be to find my soulmate. And love him with every bit of love I knew. That’s the thing, when she whispered in my ear I realized I did not know Love at all and I surely wasn’t equipped to love any one else. How could I? When I was suppose to be loving myself this whole time?
